Our Terms And Conditions
** 1. Bookings:** Places for training courses can be booked on our website and will be confirmed via email. If you experience any difficulty, please email training@mkpa.co.uk or phone 01908 263033 .
2. Payments: Non-members must pay for courses upon booking. Members can pay online or request to be invoiced if their membership status allows it. Where an invoice has been raised, payments are to be made via the online invoice provided, or alternatively by card/BACS. Invoiced payments must be paid within: 14 days of the invoice date, OR 11 working days before the course commences, whichever is sooner.
*3. Cancellation or non-attendance of courses: **
All bookings are non-cancellable, non-refundable and non-transferable. In exceptional circumstances, transfer to another course may be possible, if the request is made no less than 11 working days prior to the start of the course (an admin fee of £25 will apply).
Where a course includes more than 1 session, the onus is on the student to attend ALL sessions. Failure to attend all sessions will be classed as non-attendance and no refund will be offered.
Please note, courses will run providing minimum numbers have been met. In the event that numbers are not met, you will be offered a transfer to the next available course. *This applies to internal courses (Kiln Farm) and to external courses (client’s venue).
**4. Blended Learning: **
Delegates booked onto a blended course (part online/part face-to-face) MUST complete all aspects of the course to qualify for certification.
The e-learning element must be completed prior to attending the face-to-face session and certification of e-learning must be presented to your trainer at the start of your session (digital or printout copy accepted). MKPA reserves the right to call a delegate who is active on their e-learning to verify their identity as part of our quality assurance checks.
It is advised that your e-learning is completed within the two weeks prior to face-to-face training (delegates can have up to 6 weeks prior to their face-to-face session to access their online training). A link will be emailed to delegates prior to the course to access the online training. It is the delegate’s responsibility to call us if you do not receive a log in code.
At your face-to-face session, all delegates will be required to demonstrate knowledge gained from their e-learning.
**5. Physically able: **The duties of a first aider can be physically demanding. All delegates must be physically able to participate in all elements of the course to receive a certificate. There are elements of first aid training, such as CPR and the Recovery Position, that require the staff to kneel onto the floor. A delegate who is unable to complete all practical assessments will not receive certification.
**6. Suitability: **
A delegate must be 16 years or over to attend our courses (except for Basic First Aid Skills for Students).
Delegates must ensure they arrive on time and are not absent for any periods of the course.
We reserve the right to refuse entry or ask a delegate to leave if they are: deemed to be behaving inappropriately, refuse to participate in all elements of the training or, if they ae under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
Phone use is not permitted in the training room at MKPA site.
7. GDPR: Data collected in relation to training bookings will only be used for the purposes of delivering training and will not be disclosed to any external sources.
