AIM - To enable participants to have or refresh their knowledge on the basics of safeguarding children.

OBJECTIVES - By the end of the workshop participants should:

Be aware of their own role and responsibility in relation to safeguarding and child protection.
Be able to name the categories of abuse and recognise signs & indicators.
Have an understanding of relevant current legislation and guidance.
Identify what actions to take if you are concerned about a child’s welfare.
Know what actions to take if concerned about the behaviour or actions of a colleague.
